Derick needed some time to work on his LAST Masters class, so the girls and I went off to have some fun together. We started at the Museum of Natural History. BOTH girls carried purses (this has NEVER happened before). Inside their bags they had their penny passports and a bag of animal crackers. I was thinking, "great, i'll be carrying 3 purses soon." Nope, they kept up with them like troopers & when we pressed new pennies, they ran & sat on the bench, unzipped those bags & pulled out their penny passports. A penny passport is a little book that holds pressed pennies. We press pennies anytime we go somewhere with a machine.
After visiting the dinosaurs and the planets, we had lunch at the little restaurant inside the museum. Delicious and the girls love it!
Then, we hustled right on out of there and headed back to the base library for story time with Mrs. Santa. That was neat, too. The girls really seemed to enjoy it & we came home with a pile of books as always.
Tonight our friend's kids came over and Derick & I took them all to a neighbor's Christmas party. Whew. I am happy with two children. Five is quite a challenge!
Now it is time for bed. I didn't have the camera with me at the museum :( I did take a pic with my phone of the girls wearing triceratops masks. That was great!
