The Finger

Today was one of those lazy days when I just enjoy being a Mom. Caroline and I had a lunch date with a friend and spent the rest of the day coloring and sampling delicious cake baked by my friend. As we walked home from said friend's house, my cell phone rang. The school nurse was calling to inform me that Mattie had cut her finger with a pair of scissors. Her finger wouldn't stop bleeding, so Caroline and I headed to school to pick her up. Two hours later, it is still bleeding, but it doesn't appear to need a doctor. The nurse said a stitch would not work due to the type of cut, so Derick has bandaged her up for the night. 

I am assuming you will see the humor in this picture. 

Ahem, yes, that is her middle finger.

Felipe' Update--He is stuffed into the Christmas tree today. Mattie finds him so quickly that I wonder if she has a camera hidden somewhere in the house.
