Apparently the day-after-Christmas sledding adventure did not go well. The story is that Caroline got snow in her face on her first run. After that she cried & clung to Derick's leg until they finally left.
Derick and Mattie went back alone today & had a great time. They even cooked their lunch (soup) on Derick's camp stove & went back to the sledding run for more. Here is a picture of Mattie in action:
Meanwhile, Caroline and I enjoyed staying in the warm house. I started packing Christmas decorations while Caroline continued to enjoy all of her gifts. We also worked on a puzzle together. I believe that the girls got 11 new puzzles total, so we've had a new puzzle challenge everyday.
Now we are preparing pizza for pizza & a movie night. We are watching Kung Fu Panda on pay-per-view! Sadly, Derick has to work tomorrow. Hope he won't make much noise when he leaves as the girls and I have fallen into a pattern of sleeping in!!!
