Rudolph Cut-Outs

Caroline's inner artist has displayed itself at our house. She read Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer at Jelly Bean Class yesterday and has spent a great deal of time since drawing and cutting out different versions of Rudolph (as seen in the picture). Rudolph with a huge nose, Rudolph with a glowing nose, Rudolph with a normal red nose. She has carefully taped each one to the hallway as they are complete.

Mattie, on the other hand, has discovered reading. I knew I was moving all of those Christmas books around for a reason! Last night she blew through How The Grinch Stole Christmas and 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. As I hustled her off to bed last night, I saw her eyeing the Nutcracker books I have collected over the years. Maybe tonight she will read those! I love to see her on the couch reading a book.

This past week we had an unexpected family vacation to Durango, CO. We rode the Polar Express and had a lot of fun seeing Santa and stomping in the snow. Here is a pic of the girls having fun near the train station.

  1. I am so glad you are doing this blog. i really hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. I use it as a way to make "life" books for Ramsey and so if I loose my mind one day I can look back and know i had it once. I use www.blurb.com to make actual physical books for our house instead of scrapbooking. It keeps me motivate to post often.
