The Blogger Bandwagon

Sorry! I fell off the blogger bandwagon due to so many holiday responsibilities...here is a list of those exciting responsibilities now!

I must start this week's post by tooting my own horn. I have sold an essay to Southern Living Magazine! It will appear in the March edition near the back page. The title is "Raising Southerners" and I hope you will all get a good laugh when you read it. This was a big goal for me and I cannot believe I achieved it with only one try.

It snowed all day on Monday and then, of course, the streets were slushy on Tuesday. The kids enjoyed a snow day and we played hard building snowmen and having snowball fights. I headed to a spouse's ornament exchange Tuesday night.

By Wednesday, it was back to life as usual. Actually, it was life double time to make up for all the stuff I didn't do on Tuesday! A dance show at Caroline's class, frenzied baking for teacher's gifts and a swim lesson for Mattie, followed by a Christmas party at the O-Club.

Thursday, the pace picked up. Two school parties, gymnastics and a Christmas concert given by a friend's daughter's school choir.

Now it's Friday and I have been able to breathe, do laundry and even prepare a really tasty quiche. I have even gotten started on my next writing project! Tonight, it's off the ice rink for some skating with Derick's co-workers.

The New Mexico Bowl is tomorrow morning & our squadron Christmas party is tomorrow night. Don't expect to hear from me for a while.

I will post snow pictures soon, but I was behind on the blogging & wanted to get pen to paper before this whole busy week faded into a memory.
