Christmas With Nana
San Antonio
Has it really been a full week since my last post? Wow, it has been a busy one.
Derick and I had a wonderful vacation to San Antonio. Ok, it was more of a vacation for me since he was attending a conference. But he really seemed to relax and have fun too. We had friends there & I enjoyed shopping with the ladies during the day & going out with the girls and guys in the evenings. We hit malls, outlet stores, the Alamo, the Menger Hotel and lots of the restaurants and bars on River Walk. The weather, for the most part, was beautiful.
Nana (Paula) stayed with the girls. They appear to have had a little party of their own! One night there was "spend the night" party where they all attempted to sleep in my bed. Caroline decided that her bed was a better option & bailed. Mattie made it all night, though I hear she was a wiggle worm. Also while we were gone, there was lots of outdoor playtime, plenty of McDonald's food and treats, and pizza. They even made it to school, gymnastics and dance! I am thinking Nana is probably ready to go home!
We also enjoyed our Christmas celebration with Nana & I am so glad we were able to be with her to give & receive gifts.
What luck that today was a holiday for us all. I am trying to prepare mentally for tomorrow's routine!
