The Steed Sisters Rock!

It's official, the girls have completed their first full week of school. On Tuesday I was able to convince Caroline to let me drive through the car line in the morning (instead of walking her to her classroom). Of course she did a great job finding her room. Here are the girls on Friday morning...

It was a big week. Mom and Dad arrived Tuesday afternoon and explored Pinehurst Village and Southern Pines with me while the girls went to school. I enjoyed being with mom and dad and I am so excited to know much more about my new town. I can't wait to Christmas shop in some of the stores we located. We also found a great new restaurant, a bakery, a military museum and designer consignment clothing store (score).

Thursday was Caroline's two-week check for her arm. The doctor said that she is healing very well. She is allowed to go without the hard splint and wrap when she is at home!! She can sleep and bathe and shower like a normal person again. She does have to wear the splint when playing or anytime she is not at home. The doc told us that another hit to that arm while it is still healing could be a very serious injury. Back for another check in two weeks.

Meanwhile I have discovered the local gym and am enjoying trying out a whole new range of group fitness classes. The gym is associated with the hospital and is first-rate. I love it!

Our plans for Labor Day weekend at Monticello fell through as I didn't reserve a hotel room or a kennel in time . . . check back to see what we get into during the long weekend!
