Our big adventure for this Labor Day weekend was a visit to Marbles Kid's Museum in Raleigh.
Luckily, EMT Mattie was able to assist Caroline with her injured arm.
Likewise, Dr. Caroline assisted Mattie in obtaining a check-up.
Mattie braved the 2-story high cages overlooking the museum lobby . . .
And Caroline braved the waves for some surfing action. (Do you think Mattie realizes she is about to get soaked by that wave?)
My favorite part of the visit was a 3-D movie at the IMAX theater.
Derick also took the girls fishing on Monday. They seemed to have a great time despite the fact that only 2 fish were caught (and both of those by D).
In other news, a tornado touched down a few miles from our house today!! It appears that TS Lee is causing us more issues than Irene did. The tornado was small and did minimal damage to a golf course, but we were surprised that no sirens went off.
