First Day of School!

My brave and courageous children have done it again. They have completed another first day at another new school. I must say, they looked awfully cute while they were at it.

There was a lot of excitement at our house before school. Both girls were very anxious to get started meeting people and making friends.

(Look above at Caroline's shoes. Oh my, I just LOVE them). After school there were lots of mixed emotions. They jumped in the car laughing and telling me how great their first day went. Slowly, Caroline revealed that she had gotten "lost" during PE when she lined up in the wrong line. We figured this out because she was still sniffing from being upset!

Once we got home, Mattie informed me that no-one in her class had her "style" and that no-one laughed at her jokes. She was pretty upset. And she was also completely and totally exhausted.

You can imagine how mom and dad felt. Luckily day two went much better. "I didn't get lost!" Caroline exclaimed as she climbed in the car. Mattie also felt better, "I think I have friends now."

Whew. I am glad we only had two days to endure before a break!
