Caroline's conference went well and we were pleasantly surprised by some academic abilities that we didn't realize she had. She can recognize all letters of the alphabet, recognize numbers to 20 and count to 29. We are very, very proud of her. Her teachers did confirm that she is extremely sensitive and often over-emotional (prone to break-downs) and they think that our plan to wait until she is 6 to start her in kindergarten is a good one.
I took Caroline to the doctor yesterday because she has had congestions, ear pain & some trouble hearing us. She did indeed have an infection in her left ear & was having some problems with her right ear as well (nothing that can't be fixed). She is taking medicine that she doesn't care for to correct the problems. Last night she poured out part of the medicine to avoid drinking it. She is a stinker and will catch you totally off guard if you aren't paying attention!
That's it until Sunday...at which time I will post some pictures!
