Dust Bowl

Today I was sitting outside while the girls played on the playground. I noticed a cloud near Sandia--it looked like it was pouring rain. I was very excited because it hasn't rained or snowed here in a very long time.

The wind was blowing so hard that we decided to go in the house. When I got inside, Derick had sent me a text that said "dust storm!" What? I thought it was rain...but NO, it was dust.

It got so much worse from there. Dust everywhere and terrible wind. Yuck.

It was so bad that the mountains were partially hidden behind the dust cloud. I sure hope that it gets better soon--the Juniper is blowing all over the place and just thinking about it sends me running for the tissues...
