Thursday...

What a great day!

We got dressed for VBS without incident and arrived early. Had a coffee date at Starbucks with a new friend. Any day that starts with Starbucks is good.

Found a fabulous library. Who on EARTH would have thought that the Leavenworth, KS city library would be so great, but it IS. I like it here ALOT. I just ignore the fact that we are surrounded by numerous prisions...one of which we happened upon today. In town. Very interesting.

Picked up the girls after VBS and met Derick for some DEEEElicious BBQ. So good that the girls gobbled theirs up, too. When you visit, Dusty Roads BBQ is on the must have list.I am formulating the plan now...Dusty Roads, followed by Corner Pharmacy Shakes and a trip to TRex on the weekend.

There's more. I got my hair cut and highlighted. Haven't had a decent hair cut or highlights since Okinawa! I LOVE it.

But it gets BETTER...so, it's all about me, but it does get better.

I have been in contact with the editor of Kansas City Parent magazine and have been invited to a writer's meeting next month. And today, I was offered THREE assignments from them. Yay me and yay again. 

After all that, we got Mattie's room in place, unpacked the remaining boxes of books and clothes and organized her bookcases. Derick even got her pictures, posters, and bulletin board on the walls.

Wonder what will happen tomorrow...
