Tonight we attended Mattie's end-of-year concert and open house. First we went to the 4th grade hall and looked at display boards the kids created - each board told about a part of North Caroline (history, geography, etc.) That was called "NC Museum."
Next we went to see pottery the kids had made in art class. The pottery was available for a $5 donation. The student council is raising money to buy a bullet-proof vest for a police dog named Duco. There's Mattie holding her bowl.
After those events we took our seats in the auditorium. Each class (4th and 5th grade) performed a song. Here is Mattie and her class . . .
