We now have a kindergarten student and a 3rd grader!
Our first morning was smooth and the four of us went together to drop the girls at their respective schools. Mattie was excited an very brave as always. She didn't even hesitate when it was time for her to get out of the car.
Derick and I walked Caroline into school and she, too, was very brave and very excited. We kissed her good bye & walked away fighting our own tears. Luckily, the principal was at the front door with a box of kleenex!

Beautiful sisters!!The end of the day was different from the beginning! I picked up Caroline and she was wearing a very stern face, "This place is BORING," she informed me! "I am not going back." After I explained that, legally, I had to take her back, she said, "Fine. I'll just hide from you." Hmmm.
Mattie got off of the bus (her idea to ride the bus home) and I could tell that she was barely holding herself together. By the time she got over to our yard, she was bawling, "The bus was SCARY. I hate it." Luckily, the rest of her day wasn't so bad!
