Derick is officially old, I mean, promoted! We had a GREAT day on Friday celebrating. First, we all loaded up and drove to post where we were escorted onto the compound! We were already feeling very special. Then, Derick's boss introduced each of the family members present (all 9 of us) and proceeded to talk about Derick's career from beginning to now. I was so impressed that he could remember all of the places we've lived and all of the jobs Derick has held.
We weren't allowed to take pictures at the ceremony, so we're waiting for the photographer to get our CD to us. Until then, you'll just have to enjoy the pictures of us before leaving for the ceremony . . .
Friday night, Derick and I hosted a party at the Sly Fox, a local restaurant and bar. We had a great turn out and enjoyed celebrating with friends from Derick's work, our church, and family members. Dan Ivey and Greg Dishman even traveled to NC to be with us on this special night.
I don't have any pictures - I was too busy visiting. AGH.
Congratualtions to the whole family!!! That is so cool! Can't wait to celebrate with yall next month.
